Global Faith Leaders Gather In Manila For Family First Global Summit 2025 – Dallas Express

Uncategorized Article

MANILA, Philippines — More than 200 family champions from Asia, the United States, and Europe gathered recently for the 2025 Family First Global Summit, marking another milestone in the growing international movement to restore and strengthen families as the bedrock of thriving societies.
Hosted in Manila under the theme “One God. One Family.”, the summit featured influential voices, cross-cultural collaboration, and a unified message: families rooted in faith can transform communities — and even nations.
Family First Global Chairman Gregory W. Slayton opened the summit by calling attention to the cultural forces eroding traditional values and identity.
“Around the world, we’re seeing a rise in negative trends that distort the meaning of family and identity. These aren’t just philosophical trends, they’re eroding the foundation of entire societies,” he said. “Our response is not fear, but loving truth. By equipping families with wisdom and practical tools, we pass on what is right to the next generation—starting in the home.”
Slayton’s call for courage and clarity resonated with delegates facing diverse societal pressures in their home countries — from rising secularism to the breakdown of intergenerational ties.
A central highlight of the summit was the exploration of the 7Fs: faith, family, friends, finances, fitness, fun, and fulfillment. Each “F” was brought to life through expert-led sessions that connected biblical principles with real-world applications.
Attendees were encouraged to bring the 7Fs framework back to their own communities. All speaker presentations are now available for public download here: 2025 Family First Presentations.
Glenn Yu, Chairman of Family First Global Asia, pointed to the dual challenge and opportunity of modernization across Asia. “As economies expand and urban lifestyles reshape how we live, work is increasingly taking precedence over personal relationships,” he said. “Yet across Asia, our deepest cultural values—respect for elders, family sacrifice, and spiritual legacy—remain strong. When we intentionally nurture these, we don’t just strengthen families locally; we lead a global movement centered on faith and family.”
The summit’s international spirit was fully displayed during Family Night, an evening of music, storytelling, and cultural celebration. A special performance by the Philippine Army’s Civil-Military Operations Regiment honored the nation’s partnership with Pamilya Muna Pilipinas, which continues to deliver family-strengthening workshops across military and civilian sectors.
Many attendees also reflected on the momentum carried over from the highly successful 2024 Family First Global Leaders’ Summit, which drew leaders from 10 countries under the theme “Together We Are Stronger and Stronger in Jesus.” That gathering was hailed as the “best ever,” thanks to powerful messages from keynote speakers Edric and Joy Mendoza, who challenged families to lead with love, intentionality, and faith.
From spiritual insights to actionable strategies, the 2025 Family First Global Summit reinforced a simple but profound truth: strong families are not formed by accident—they are built by design.
As the movement expands across Asia and into Europe, Family First Global invites everyone to join the mission: pray, support your local chapter, and access life-changing resources designed to equip families for generational impact.
