Empower Christian Leaders. Strengthen the Church. – International Christian Concern

Uncategorized Article

06/06/2025 DRC (International Christian Concern) – This summer, many parents are walking through store aisles picking out dorm supplies, loading up the car, and preparing to send their sons and daughters of to college. It’s a season full of anticipation, nerves, and excitement.
Now, imagine a young woman who has no parents to help her pack. No car to drive her to campus. No savings to cover tuition. Just a heart full of faith and a calling to serve others despite surviving horrors no one should endure.
Mary was abducted and assaulted by an ISIS-affiliated group in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). She survived — and chose healing over hatred. Today, she’s studying to become a nurse so she can care for other girls who’ve endured the same horrors.
“It was a miracle for me,” she told ICC. “I have chosen medicine to make a real difference in people’s lives by helping to alleviate pain and suffering, as I have experienced.”
Raising Leaders for a Stronger Church
Mary is one of many courageous students transformed by ICC’s Generation Transformation (GT), which equips persecuted Christians through fully funded college and vocational training.
“I am expressing my genuine gratitude and sincere thanks to ICC for sponsoring my studies, buying clothes, shoes, blankets, and food for me,” she said.
By investing in the next generation, we’re not just meeting needs, we’re raising future leaders. These students, often overlooked and under-resourced, are becoming doctors, teachers, engineers, and community advocates. With your support, they are building a skilled, resilient Christian workforce ready to lead change from within.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
